How old does my child have to be to come to school at FLDS?

18 months class: child must be 18 months by September 1

Two year old class: child must be two by September 1

Three year old class: child must be three by September 1

Four year old class: child must be four by September 1

Pre-K class: child must be five by October 31

Kindergarten: child must be five by September 1

Registration for 2008/2009 School Year

The registration dates are:
February 6 - is the deadline for currently enrolled families to return their enrollment forms and deposit.
February 7 at 8:30 a.m. in the gym - Faith Lutheran Church families.
February 8 at 8:30 a.m. in the gym - waiting list families.
February 11 at 8:30 a.m. in the gym - open enrollment

What “specials” classes will my child attend?

Every child goes to chapel once a week.

The three and four year old classes, Pre-k, and Kindergarten classes go to music class each week.

The two year old through kindergarten classes participate in Fit For Faith class once a week.

The kindergarten class attends Spanish Class one time a week.

What are the classroom ratios?

18 months: 1:3
Twos: 1: 5
Threes: 1:5
Fours: 1:7
Prek: 1:8
Kindergarten: 1:8

What are the fees and tuition for the 2008/2009 school year?

Two Day Program

Registration: $110—paid when you register your child, and non-refundable
Supply Fee: $70 per semester—first fee paid when you register your child, second fee paid in January
Tuition: $150 per month for nine payments, May 2009 tuition due by May 10, 2008 followed by payments September 2008 thru April 2009.

Three Day Program

Registration: $120—paid when you register your child, and non-refundable
Supply Fee: $90 per semester—first fee paid when you register your child, second fee paid in January
Tuition: $200 per month for nine payments, May 2009 tuition due by May 10, 2008 followed by payments September 2008 thru April 2009.


Pre-K Program

Registration: $145—paid when you register your child, and non-refundable
Supply Fee: $115 per semester—first fee paid when you register your child, second fee paid in January.
Tuition: $250 per month for nine payments, May 2009 tuition due by May 10, 2008 followed by payments September 2008 thru April 2009.


Kindergarten Program

Registration: $165—paid when you register your child, and non-refundable
Supply Fee: $140 per semester—first fee paid when you register your child, second fee paid in January.
Tuition: $300 per month for nine payments, May 2009 tuition due by May 10, 2008 followed by payments September 2008 thru April 2009.

What are the hours school is in session?

The children attend class from 9:30 am-1:30 pm

Kindergarten has an optional full day until 3:00 pm

What days of the week can my child come to school?

18 months: Two day program—either T/TH or W/F

Two year olds: Two day program—either T/TH or W/F

Three year olds: Two or Three day program—either T/TH or M/W/F

Four year olds: Two or Three day program—either T/TH or M/W/F

Pre-K: Four Day program---Tuesday through Friday

Kindergarten—five day program—Monday through Friday

What should my child bring to school?

Each child should bring a back pack with a complete change of clothes.
Children who are not potty trained need to bring diapers and wipes.
Each child should bring their own lunch each school day.
Each child will have a folder from school that he/she will bring to school each day

When is tuition due?

Tuition is due before the 10th of each month, May 2008 followed by September through April.
