1st Communion Workshop Any age is welcome if the parents feel the child is Questions? Contact Tom Schwolert Faith has adopted the 1st Communion policy of the ELCA and invites any baptized child of any age to receive 1st Communion instruction. We believe this action is consistent with our focus on children’s ministry. Coming to the Lord’s Table for the first time has less to do with chronological age of the child but more the readiness of the child based upon a common decision between the child, their parents and the pastor of the congregation. The workshop will be October 29th, 6:30.p.m.-8:00 p.m. and families will take communion the first time on Nov. 1st. This class is offered every Fall.
