What is FaithWalk?
Great food & fellowship at 5:30p – Get together with friends and let the stresses of life go.
High Energy Inspiring worship for today’s teenagers at 6:26p. Worship is the heart of Wednesdays with worship band “Three.”
Safe Small Groups - At 7:00p small groups will be facilitated by our very own volunteer youth and adult staff. We’ll take a fresh look at faith, life and scripture.
Faith is passed on through personal, trusted relationships. Can you catch the Spirit?
Come for all or part of the evening. You’ll be glad you did!
Trips, Retreats and Leadership Opportunities
This summer our youth will travel to Juarez , Mexico to build homes and lead Kids Club. Youth will also be attending the Discipleship Project at Texas Lutheran University . Other retreat opportunities will be coming in the fall and spring.
Youth Leadership
Youth are not only welcomed, but encouraged to lead by teaching and helping with Sunday School. Young children look up to our teenagers and we believe there is no higher form of learning than teaching. Youth help in the classroom, leading games, cooking, doing crafts and lots more. Sunday School begins again in the fall and all youth are welcome.
FUEL
FUEL is a place for youth to come hang out on Sunday mornings, get fueled up with some coffee and breakfast and talk about what’s on their mind. FUEL begins at 10a on Sunday mornings beginning Sept. 9, 2007.
Peer Ministry
We aren’t doing youth ministry until youth are doing ministry.
Got a problem? Do your friends have problems? WHO WILL LISTEN? Teenagers usually go to other teenagers when they have a problem. Peer Ministry gives us the skills we need to that we can really help our peers. It’s about learning how Jesus wants us to treat each other.
Peer Ministry begins on August 26, 2007 and meets every 4th Sunday of the month in the home of a youth, 6-8pm.
Personal “LIFE” Interviews
Our youth minister is available for Personal “LIFE” Interviews. This is a time to chat about what God might have in store for you in your life. Most youth talk to their school counselors about what career path to take, but what about taking the time to look at the big picture and how God might be preparing you for great things? Contact Tom and set up a time to meet at youth@faithflowermound.org or 972-539-1031.
